Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Job Assistant is operated by Integrity Handyman LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our software platform.

2. What We Collect

When you use Job Assistant, we collect:

  • Account information: your email address, used to log you in and send account notices.
  • Business profile: your business name, phone, email, website, and logo — only what you enter.
  • Business records: customers, estimates, invoices, contracts, mileage logs, and accounting transactions you create within the app.
  • Your customers' information: names, email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses that you enter when creating customer records. You are the data controller for this information. See Section 5 for details.
  • Payment information: subscription billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Usage data: basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and debugging.

3. How We Use It

We use your data to:

  • Provide and operate the Service.
  • Send transactional emails (estimates, invoices, contracts) that you trigger through the app.
  • Send account-related emails (subscription confirmations, trial reminders).
  • Improve the Service based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than providing Job Assistant.

4. Data Isolation

Every account's data is isolated using Row Level Security policies in our database. No other Job Assistant user can access your customers, estimates, invoices, or any other business records. Administrative access to the database is restricted to the platform operator and is used only for support and security purposes.

5. Your Customers' Data

When you use Job Assistant to manage your business, you enter personal information about your own customers (names, phone numbers, email addresses, mailing addresses). You are the data controller for that information. We process it only on your behalf to provide the Service.

You are responsible for:

  • Having a lawful basis to collect and store your customers' contact information.
  • Responding to any requests from your customers to access, correct, or delete their information.
  • Complying with applicable privacy laws in your state or jurisdiction regarding how you handle customer data.

If you delete a customer record in the app, their data is removed from our database. If you close your account, all records including customer data are deleted within 30 days.

6. Electronic Signatures

Job Assistant allows your customers to sign contracts by typing their name and submitting the form. We record the signer's name, the timestamp (UTC), and save a copy of the signed document. This constitutes an electronic signature under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act). We do not independently verify the identity of signers beyond the email link they receive.

7. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase — database and file storage (US-hosted). Your data is stored on Supabase's servers. Privacy policy.
  • Stripe — payment processing for your Job Assistant subscription. Card details go directly to Stripe. We never see them. Privacy policy.
  • Stripe Connect — if you set up online payment collection for your own invoices, your customers' payment information is processed by Stripe under your connected Stripe account. We never see or store card numbers. Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (estimates, invoices, contracts sent from the app). Resend receives recipient email addresses to deliver messages. Privacy policy.
  • Vercel — hosting and CDN. Privacy policy.
  • Google (optional) — if you configure a Google Review link, customers are directed to Google's platform. We receive no data from Google.

8. Data Retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate. After 30 days, it is permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion by emailing us.

9. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS). Database access is controlled by Row Level Security policies. We apply security headers (HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options) to all pages. Secret API keys are stored in server environment variables and never exposed to the browser. No security measure is perfect, but we take it seriously and follow industry-standard practices.

10. Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account at any time by emailing us. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect and the right to request deletion. We do not sell personal information.

11. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party trackers. No analytics scripts are embedded in the app.

12. Children

Job Assistant is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify you by email for material changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
